A Certified LUV Pilot has received the U.S. Department of Labor's Licensed Unmanned Vehicle Pilot Technician Certificate and have completed a minimum of 4000 hours of core curriculum, on-site and hybrid education in software programs and technical knowledge of repairing and operating autonomous vehicles on Air, Sea and Land.

Are you interested in the exciting world of unmanned vehicles and autonomous systems?
The Licensed Unmanned Vehicle (LUV) Pilot apprenticeship program, registered with the U.S. Department of Labor, offers a comprehensive 24-month training that prepares you to become a certified pilot for unmanned vehicles, including drones. VTOL and collaborative robots.
Program Overview: The LUV apprenticeship program provides 4,000 hours of training, covering essential skills such as vehicle operation, safety regulations, power systems, and control systems. You'll also learn about environmental management, ensuring you can make informed decisions in the field.
Pre-Apprenticeship:
You begin with a 200 hour Quality Pre-Apprenticeship with 3 Certifications and supplemental training . You are earning a $2000 scholarship during the first 134 hours of certification, then complete your on-site 66 hours of training to complete your 200 hour Pre-Apprenticeship over 8 weeks at most locations.
Earn & Learn.
First 1,000 Hours (with 150 hours credit for your pre-apprenticeship) are learning at one of the LUV Robotic Kitchens : Your journey begins in a state-of-the-art robotic kitchen, where you'll complete your first 1,000 hours and receive credit for 150 hours of core curriculum for the pre-apprenticeship towards your 4000 hour program, along with a wage increase.
Eligibility: The program is open to individuals aged 17-24. There are several options for the pre-apprenticeship certification and training, including a self-pay option as well as options for those needing a scholarship. A high school diploma or GED is required.
You must be able to lift 50 pounds, be able to use a computer, be dedicated, on-time, and willing to earn and learn.
